What doesn’t feel right is the fact that a bot can spam you. Using patterns of conversational design that we’ve used for ages is the same idea as using a trash bin for deleting files. It’s a metaphor. I don’t see a good reason why we should not take advantage of this.

At the end, I think it’s similar to motion design in user interfaces. As soon as you feel like an animation slows down the experience, you’re doing it wrong. Short and concise animations on the other hand creates orientation and improve the flow of the experience.
